Daleville defeated Liberty Christian 17-2, exploding with a 10 run inning in the bottom of the fourth. Kaitlyn Ewing pitched a complete game, allowing 3 hits, 5 strikeouts and no earned runs. Daleville was lead by the hitting of Kaylee Allen, Bre Townsend, Kristen Zimmers, Danielle Johnson andKaitlyn Ewing with 2 hits. The Varsity baseball team beat Southern Wells in the opening round of sectional 11-3. Leading the way offensively for the broncos were Brandon Vermillion who was 3-4 with 2 HR’s, 5 RBIs, and 3 runs scored and TJ Price was 3-4 with a HR, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored, and Corbin Maddox was 2-4 with a HR, 2 RBIs, and 1 run scored. The team will play the winner of game two between Liberty Christian and Wes Del Saturday at 10 am.

Daleville lost the second game of the doubleheader by a score of 12-5. Abbi Gabriel was the starting pitcher and she gave up 6 runs, 3 earned runs and 4 hits in 2.3 innings. Kaely Hendricks and Kaitlyn Ewing also pitched in the game. Madison Savage had 3 hits, while Kristen Zimmers, Kaely Hendricks and Bre Townsend each had 2 hits. Kaely and Bre each drove in 2 runs. Daleville begins sectional play on Tuesday, playing Liberty Christian.

The Varsity baseball team beat Shenandoah tonight 3-0 behind a 7 inning shutout from Elliott Jackson. Leading the way offensively for the broncos were Corbin Maddox who was 2-3, TJ Price was 1-2 with a double, and Brandon Vermillion was 1-1 with a double and 2 walks. The team moves to 12-11 on the year entering sectionals and will host Southern Wells on Wednesday in the sectional.

Leading the offense attack for the broncos were Brandon Vermillion who was 3-3 with 4 RBI’s and 2 runs scored, Elliott Jackson, Chris Kinnick, and Bryce Stephens each added multiple hits apiece in the game. The team moves to 11-11 on the year and will host Shenandoah tomorrow night.
