Wednesday night the Daleville 8th grade boys Broncos basketball season came to an end with a very lopsided loss to a very good Lapel Bulldogs team 72-33.
Noah Colvin led the Broncos with 15 points & Josh Wilson added 9.
It may have ended ugly but the season as a whole was another step forward for the team. Their 7th grade year they had to play a 2-3 zone all season because they couldn’t keep anyone in ftont of them & this season they predominantly played man to man defense & won a few games because of their defense. They beat a few teams that manhandled them last year & a couple of those were blow out wins.
So the sting of a bad loss will fade & the encouragement of another season full of improvement should motivate an offseason full of hard work & commitment to continued growth & improvement.
I know this coach appreciated all the sweat, all the tears & all the dedication to more growth. Thank you for letting me push you to be better versions of yourself on & off the court.
