The boys and girls junior high cross country team had another successful night last night. Both teams were victorious against Cowan and Burris. Both teams were also just one place away from having a perfect score.

Noah Colvin earned himself another overall win in the boys race with a time of 11:54. The race of the night would have to go to Bryce Hammerlund with his great race, 2nd place overall and team finish, and a time of 11:58, just four seconds behind Colvin. Hammerlund is really stepping it up for the team just before County and Conference after one of his teammates suffered an injury that put him out for the season. This team has been undefeated so far this year, and although it hurt them to lose their second place runner, the other athletes are definitely stepping it up. The next three Bronco scorers were Karson Kahalekomo in 4th place, Corin Withers in 6th place, and Hayden Johnson in 8th place.

The Lady Broncos had a great night as well! Abi Covert clutched her first overall victory of the season winning the girls race with a time of 14:36. Covert stated she felt good last night after having shin issues early in the season. Second for the team and second overall was Macy Kirkpatrick with a time of 14:46. The next three Bronco scorers were Addi Gothrup in 3rd place, Makenna Corbin in 4th place, and Jolene Byrd in 6th place. These girls have been working very hard this year and are constantly improving. Their fifth place scorer, Byrd, has been closing the gap between her and Corbin every meet to lower the overall team score.

The team only has two meets left, county and conference. These are big meets for the Broncos. Keep up the hard work and dedication, and good luck Bronco Runners!
