The MEC meet on Saturday was bittersweet for the boy’s junior high cross country team. The team finished second place to Monroe Central by 13 points. It was a close race, and although the Broncos had all five of their scorers finished before the Bears, they still fell just short of what they needed to pull off the victory. Second place at the MEC meet is still quite an accomplishment for Daleville. The five scorers were Colten Wilson in 6th place, Ethan Colvin in 8th place, Mekhi Snyder in 15th, Noah Colvin in 16th, and Max White in 19th place. These boys should be proud of themselves.
The lady Broncos placed seventh place overall at the MEC meet Saturday. These girls should be proud of their constantly improving times on the course. The five scorers for the ladies were Landrea Arnold, Macy Kirkpatrick, Addi Gothrup, Olivia Reed, and Kadence Aiken.
Great job to all of our competing athletes. They have made so many accomplishments this year. The last junior high cross country meet will be the County meet held at Selma on Wednesday. Keep up the hard work, and good luck, Broncos!
