Congratulations to both the junior high boys and girls for placing second in the County Invitational at Selma tonight. The girls fell to Delta, and the boys were beat by Selma. Both teams had great races tonight.

Ethan Colvin should be very proud to have placed second in the county individually. Colvin has had an amazing season his eighth grade year, and will wrap it up this Saturday at Conference. We are excited to see what he will do there with all the hard work and dedication he’s put in since last year.

Second place for the Broncos was Colten Wilson who placed 13th overall with a time of 12:05, and just five seconds behind him was Max White in 14th out of the 60 runners. Noah Colvin, 17th, and Mekhi Snyder, 19th, were the final scoring Bronco boys. Although they didn’t score for the team tonight, great races were ran by Meryck Adams, Nick Pugsley, Jon Sims, Corin Withers, and Josh Wilson. Congratulations, fellas!

The Lady Broncos came out stronger than ever tonight to earn their second place finish. They have worked so hard this season to get here, and we’re very pleased with this result. Jenna Brand led the ladies in seventh place overall with a time of 13:58. The remaining Bronco scorers packed up and were all within the next 10 places behind her. Abi Covert was next in 9th place with a time of 14:02, and with a new personal record of 14:09, Makenna Corbin was next in 11th place. The last two scorers for the girls were Macy Kirkpatrick, 13th, and Addi Gothrup, 17th. Brooklyn Lindsay may not have scored, but put up a great race against Gothrup at the end to tie her time and earn 18th place. Grace Fix, Abby Zirkle, Jenna Ferrell, and Madison McClellan all ran great races too, and Fix earned her spot in the top seven!

The coaches are so proud of all of their runners whether they ran in the top seven, ten, or exhibition. This team has put in so much hard work this season and it shows. Every runner should be proud of their accomplishments this season. The junior high team will end their season this Saturday at the MEC Invitational hosted by Blue River. Good luck, Broncos!
